Who is responsible for your data
Ledgerpilot is an independent publication. Its editorial team is the data controller for this website. We are a small publisher: there are no user accounts, no comment section and no profile to sign into. Anything about this notice — including a request to see, correct or delete data — reaches us through contact page.
How is this site paid for?
Partly through affiliate links. When a link points to a retailer or a service and you buy something after clicking it, we may receive a commission — the price you pay is the same either way. We decide what to cover and what to recommend before anyone pays us anything.
What we collect
Reading this site requires no account, no login and no personal detail from you. Like every website, the host that delivers these pages processes the technical data your browser sends with each request — IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp — to serve the page and block abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you. The only thing you can hand us on purpose is your email address, and only if you type it into a signup form here.
If you hand us your address it is because you asked for something — a guide or the newsletter — and it is used for that and nothing else. We do not sell it or rent it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and leaving takes one click, no reason required.
About cookies
Cookies here are limited to what the site needs in order to function. Nothing is set for advertising, and nothing follows you onto other sites.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Ask and it happens. Readers in the EU and UK have this under the GDPR, and readers in California have equivalent rights under the CCPA — plus the right to say no to their information being sold, which is easy for us to honour, because we never sell it.
Where it goes and how long it stays
We use outside services for hosting, payment and email, and they may sit in another country under standard contractual safeguards. Nothing is kept longer than it is useful: your email goes when you unsubscribe, and order records are kept for the period bookkeeping law sets.
Under-16s
Nothing here is aimed at children, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone under 16. If a child has sent us data anyway, say so through contact page and it goes.
Changes to this policy
When the way we handle data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no announcement list, so the date is the record.
